Electric profiling care bed

This is an Invacare Medley Ergo Low Profiling Variable Height Bed, with an Alerta Sensaflex 1000 pressure relief mattress, and side rails with cushioned covers.

The bed is electric, and it remains plugged into the mains when in use - there are no batteries.
All functions for raising and lowering are activated from a simple handheld console.
The side rails, are lowered and raised manually.

The bed was bought for my mother as she had severe deformative spinal arthritis. Sadly, she only got to use it for three weeks before she passed away.
As the bed was only used for three weeks, it functions perfectly, and has no signs or marks of wear and tear.

The bed, the mattress and the side rails, new, and with VAT relief, cost a combined total of £813.35.

Electrical Features -

- backrest can be raised from 0 - 70° - the user
- leg rest can be raised from 0 - 11°
- the bed as a whole has an 11° Tilt setting
- the height of the bed is variable, and this model has the particularly low setting of 22cm to the floor
- the bed is fully electric
- all the electric features of the bed are controlled from a handheld push-button unit

Variable Height Features -

- the bed as a whole can be raised and lowered to allow the user to set a comfortable height for getting on and off the bed
- for carers, the height can be set as to reduce strain on their backs
- if you don't want to use the side rails, the mattress can be lowered to 22cm from the floor, to eliminate the risk of a high fall for a user during sleep (the bed can go as low as 22cm with, or without, side rails
- the bed can be lowered and raised from 22cm to 62 cm, or from 29cm to 69cm

Side Rails -

- the bed is being sold complete with Aria ad Bella side rails which can be manually lowered, or removed, at any time
- the side rails come with soft covers
- the side rail covers can be wiped clean
- do note that the side rails are not electric

Mattress -

- the bed is being sold with an Alerta Sensaflex 1000 pressure relief mattress - Please note that if the intended user has any type of pressure/bed sore, this mattress will most likely not be sufficient to their needs.

Transport -
The bed can be dismantled easily, to a compact size for transport, and I will do so with the buyer once they have checked all the functions of the bed are to their satisfaction.
