I am selling my old wheelchair as it no longer works for me. It is a FOLDING, MANUAL, POWER ASSISTED WHEELCHAIR with push handles if you are unable to self propel. This is the Sunrise Medical Breezy Basixs 2, with Empluse Wheels.
Dimensions:
Frame: 27kg
Batteries: 1.5kg each
Chair: 30kg total
Seat width: 17"
Wheel circumference: 25"
Tallest height: 36"
With handles folded: 29"
Total width: 24"
Total length:30"
PLEASE NOTE: The wheels are now 2 years old as so cannot be used for extended periods of time or on rough terrains but are fully functional for an hour or so at a time on smooth surfaces. This is perfect if you will mainly be using it indoors or on flat paths for commutes/ dog walks/ shopping etc. I am a dancer and it just isn't as lightweight or flexible as I need it to be for long days in the spaces I work.
Both the rims work, however it is easier to use just one or the other rather than regularly interchanging between manual pushing and the cruise control setting. Sometimes this will cause it to cut out but you just need to turn them on and off again. The batteries are both NEW this year and so have a full shelf life left.
Comes with a cushion, removable footplates, and 2 chargers (free) but PLEASE NOTE that if you leave them plugged in once fully charged they will overheat and need time to cool down before you can turn them back on. They go from dead to 100% in about an hour.
Cost: £1500 (RRP over £7k)
*COLLECTION ONLY FROM LONDON*
I am based in zone 2 (north) but happy to arrange a place to meet and exchange the chair within the M25.
You are welcome to arrange a courier at your own cost should you prefer.
Disclaimer: This wheelchair is not in the best state, which is why I have had to get a new one. HOWEVER it doesn't need to hit the scrap heap just yet and can still work perfectly well for someone who needs to use it less regularly. Givent he current issues with PIP and Access To Work I'd rather sell it cheaply to someone who can find some benefit from it rather than taking it to the tip (most charities won't accept it as it's used, not under warranty, and they can't guarantee it's safe to give to someone).
