Hospital floor bed

My father had 3 strokes in one day and is now wheelchair bound. He has been living with my sister in Devon whilst his house has been modified and the NHS in Devon weee extremely helpful and gave him a bed that lowered to the floor on hydraulics. Now he is returning to Derbyshire it is the complete opposite. They are making it difficult and actually stressing my 89 year old mother that much that I am doing anything I can to find a bed. My father forgets that he cannot walk and tries to get out of bed. And once on the floor my mother hasn’t the strength to lift him back up. So a bed that can be lowered extremely low would be gratefully received.
We live in Derbyshire near Matlock and will hire a van if necessary to collect. I do not know how much these cost second hand but please send me some ideas and I will know if we can afford it.
